Coordinator, Strengthening Families

Built collaborative, county wide, bilingual program for high risk youth and families based on empowerment model, using active listening and strength based approach, supervised outreach workers in four communities, trained staff and community in council, built effective collaborations and referral network, advocated for youth/families. Lead youth and family Councils Member of Pro Youth Coalition, participation in national pilot project to reduce gang violence.

Sangha Leader

Initiated and led ‘Full Blossom Sangha’, a Buddhist mindfulness community, inspired by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh.
